HARBEC VR

The HARBEC VR powerplant is a continuation of the CHP VR application, and an expansion funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. HARBEC is a 110,000 SQFT plastics manufacturing facility specializing in injection molding, additive manufacturing, CNC machining, and engineering with a strong eco-economic value. A little over 20-years ago, the facility was in search of improved power quality due to advancement in their manufacturing technology and unreliable grid power quality. The powerplant simulation allows the surrounding community in Rochester, as well as anyone with an internet connection, the ability to tour the facility and see how these innovative green technologies come together to handle the electric load of the company as well as the electrict gride in upstate New York.
